Hello readers. It is Monday and I know you are wondering what I’m working on.
Some of you may remember a while back I put up a post called A Planning Pantser. In it, I talked about how most writers are either planners or pantsers. Planners outline and organize their writing whereas pantsers…fly by the seat of their pants. (Facebook readers, click the link to read on.) I am usually more of a pantser. I get an idea and I just start writing.
But not this time, friends!
I have an outline. Like, a full-fledged honest-to-goodness outline. My high school English teachers, Miss Rose and Mr. Bailey, would be proud.
I’ve never been a planner before, but this feels like the right thing to do. In book two, Alice has a lot of growing to do. Now, I have a good idea of how she will do that and who she will meet along the way.
Of course, there will likely be deviations from the plan, but it feels good to have one, all the same.
So, there you have it. Structure. Turns out, it’s good for me.
