Have you heard of 55 Fiction? It’s a flash fiction contest run by a newspaper out in California every year. Flash fiction is stories that are extremely short, like 6 words to 1,000, sometimes more, depending on who’s asking.

Today, I’m going to chat about a book I read. I am not a great reviewer. I am not concise and I don’t always get into the symbolism, etc. But, I know when I’ve enjoyed a book, and I can tell you, I just enjoyed this book.

I have always been drawn to this song. The darkness of it, the seductive story, the driving bass. It spoke to me when I was younger, and it still speaks to me now.
I assumed it was about a vampire coaxing a young woman to be his undead wife…but after actually watching the video for the first time in, well, in a long time, I realize that might not be the storyline. It always has been–and will remain–that in my mind though.
What say you? Vampire tryst or no?
Friday Factoid: Bran Castle.

Did you know you can tour the inside of Bran Castle? (See link below.) That’s the castle famous for being the home of none other than Bram Stoker’s Count Dracula himself. And do note that I said Count Dracula and not Vlad Tepes (aka Vlad the Impaler aka Vlad Dracul). Dear Vlad never lived there. In fact, it is thought that he likely never even stepped foot inside that castle.
